TreeSisters works ethically to reforest and restore our planet while advocating for nature and reconnecting us to our roots.
For a greener, more equal future
TreeSisters is a vibrant, living movement at the intersection of environmental action, deep nature connection, and women and community empowerment.
Together, we’ve already planted millions of trees - trees taking climate action, restoring rainforests, biodiversity and habitats, and creating essential wildlife corridors.

However, our impact extends far beyond a tree count. We work with women and local communities at the grassroots level, focusing on holistic and ethical approaches to restore our planet. We are a community-driven organisation that challenges systemic power imbalances and ensures funding and decision-making are returned to local and Indigenous communities, empowering those most connected to the land.

OUR APPROACH.
We do things differently, integrating respect, equity, collaboration and connection into ecological restoration and conservation.
Rather than impact based solely on the number of trees in the ground, we work with a biocultural approach, where every tree planted is seen not just as a carbon offset or a number in a database, but as a living, breathing part of a larger, interconnected ecosystem. The projects we fund improve socioeconomic outcomes and have women, community and Nature at their core.

OUR PROJECTS.
TreeSisters has funded the ethical planting of millions of trees across Brazil, Borneo, Colombia, Cameroon, the DRC, India, Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar, Nepal, Uganda, West Papua, and more.

Gender equity and women’s empowerment are deeply embedded in all our work, with our Restoration Strategy seeking to rebalance power dynamics, support connections with Nature, and uplift and empower local and Indigenous communities to lead the restoration of their lands.
