Pat McCabe & Flourishing Diversity ~ Indigenous Wisdom for the Earth

Thank you everyone for joining us and continuing on our journey to meet more original people and helping them to get their word out to a wider audience. This month's call is is such a powerful message from Pat McCabe (Women Stands Shining).

Get ready to challenge your beliefs and open to a deeper conection with Nature, with this Listening Session with Pat McCabe (Weyakpa Najin Win, Woman Stands Shining). The event was held in late October as part of the Living Nature Series 2021 created by Flourishing Diversity and Invisible Dust.

Pat’s words take us on a journey of discovery, opening our hearts and shifting default mindsets. She enables us to upturn and re-centre our place in the world, redefining concepts of masculine, feminine, sustainability, and so much more.

Pat McCabe (Weyakpa Najin Win, Woman Stands Shining) is a Diné (Navajo) mother, grandmother, activist, artist, writer, ceremonial leader, and international speaker. She draws upon the Indigenous sciences of ‘Thriving Life’ to reframe questions about sustainability and balance, and she is devoted to supporting the next generations, Women’s Nation and Men’s Nation, in being functional members of the “Hoop of Life” and upholding the honour of being human.

Pat’s listeners included Alison Sudol, an American singer and actor, Wendy Tan White, a British technology entrepreneur and CEO of Intrinsic, an Alphabet company, and Daniel Growald, a 5th generation descendant of Standard Oil founder John D. Rockefeller. The session was hosted by Clare Dubois, founder of TreeSisters.

The Living Nature 2021 programme brought together global voices representing art, science and Indigenous knowledge to share vital contributions to the climate conversation regarding our relationship within Nature.
