TreeSisters is a UK registered charity seeking a Chartered Management or Public Finance Accountant with charity experience. Reporting to the CEO, the candidate will be used to managing all aspects of statutory accounting and board reporting including independent audit and compliance as well as budgeting and support for fundraising. The role will also include Treasury with some initial focus on setting up systems to support cross-border fundraising and revenue sharing with partners in the US.
The finance function currently comprises one part-time qualified, experienced audit accountant based in the UK undertaking bookkeeping, historical management accounting and audit support.
TreeSisters is a reforestation organisation working to support humanity’s identity shift from a consumer species to a restorer species. We fund the planting of tropical trees and also create educational materials and courses that deepen womens’ connection with Nature. This is a role for someone who understands and wants to support a shift towards the collective responsibility for forest restoration and reconnection to Nature.
You must be self-motivated and thrive when working in a globally distributed, virtual team environment.
We would love you to apply if you are a people person with strong collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. It is also essential that you are a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), potentially from practice originally, but with relevant subsequent experience. You will also have a regular self-care practice that supports you in your work and as part of a remote team.
