Aquaverde

Aquaverde is a non-profit association founded in 2002 with headquarters in Geneva. Its purpose is to promote and support any initiative aimed at bringing a new dimension of the interaction between man and the environment in the perspective of sustainable development and the dignity of peoples, for the safeguarding of human life on the planet. The association invests its efforts as a priority in safeguarding the Amazonian forest, this treasure of biodiversity remaining one of the cornerstones of global climate regulation and constituting with its river the Amazon, its hundreds of tributaries and its sources, one quarter of the world's drinking water supply. The association supports projects combining reforestation with a sustainable development economy for local populations by proposing economic and social alternatives to the destruction of the forest.

Eden Reforestation Projects

The Eden Reforestation Projects reduce extreme poverty and restores healthy forests by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees every year. They are one of the TreeSisters planting partners, with five projects in Nepal. Mozambique, West Papua and two locations in Madagascar.  Eden's mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. They hire the poorest of the poor to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. Our “employ to plant methodology” results in a multiplication of positive socio-economic and environment measures.

Health In Harmony

Health In Harmony is an international nonprofit whose mission is to reverse tropical rainforest deforestation for planetary health.

Health In Harmony is completely guided by what communities identify as the drivers of, and solutions for, deforestation. The projects that the communities design are focused on connecting human health care services with environmental programs such as reforestation, deforestation monitoring, and entrepreneurship development. All of their projects are rooted in their guiding principles; all life on Earth is precious, diversity is a strength, and by working together we can find solutions to the crises that face our planet.
