Urgent Appeal: Be part of creating real change

Time is running out. Our planet - and TreeSisters - urgently need you.

Forests and our natural world face unprecedented threats but hope lies in the hands of the women, Indigenous peoples, and communities on the frontlines of protecting and restoring these vital ecosystems. And this hope also lies with you. Today, I’m reaching out with an urgent appeal for donations. This year has been exceptionally challenging—not just for us as a charity, but for individuals everywhere and for our planet. To ensure we can continue funding ethical restoration, we urgently need your support.

“Restoration of our forests is a collective responsibility. Trees are crucial to our living. Without trees, we have no rain. We starve.”

-Jacinta Karoki, a restorer from the Kithoka Belt in Kenya

TreeSisters is more than an organisation, it’s a vibrant, global movement of individuals who believe in a better way of living with the Earth. We are not just planting trees but planting hope, resilience, and justice. We empower women, uplift Indigenous and community voices, advocate for the rights of nature and seek to remind everyone of their deep, intrinsic connection to the natural world.

“We don’t cut down any trees in the old-growth forest anymore. We must leave the forests for our children. We are forest keepers and planters; we look after trees like a shepherd looks after his cows. To be involved in this project is of great value and joy.”

-Nyantimiriza Aline, a restorer from the Bafuliru Peoples in the DRC.

Your support is essential to these women, communities and ecosystems, as well as nurturing a future and way of life that honours both people and planet. Please consider becoming a donor today. Most supporters give around £20 per month, but any amount will make a significant difference.

So please, stand with treesisters around the world and be part of a movement creating real change. Your generosity today will help safeguard our planet for the future.

With gratitude and hope,
